Karlander Named BIG EAST Co-Goalkeeper of the Week

Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Karlander (Carmel, IN) was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Week by the BIG EAST Conference for her 12-save shutout performance in Syracuse's home opener on Friday, September 1.

Karlander currently holds the single-season goalkeeping record for her freshman campaign when she allowed only 18 goals for a 1.06 goals against average.

When Syracuse faced the University of Massachusetts on Monday, September 4, Karlander racked another shutout to increase her career total to 8.5.

You can catch Karlander and her teammates in action this weekend as they host the Orange Classic Tournament at the Soccer Stadium at Lampe Athletics Complex this Friday and Sunday. The tournament schedule is as follows.

Friday, September 8

Sunday, September 10

Tickets to women's soccer games are $3 for adults and $1 for students and children under 18.
