Williams' Three Clinches Win Against Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights struck first, but Syracuse was quickly able to pull ahead earning an 11-point lead with just over 5 minutes left to play in the first half. The Scarlet Knights chipped away at the lead closing the gap to six before the intermission.
It was the Orangemen who got first blood in the second half as Allen Griffin set off an 11-2 run giving Syracuse its largest lead of the game, 45-30. But once again the Rutgers offense was able to bounce back from the deficit. They answered the Orange attack with a 16-0 run to claim 58-57 lead before Williams netted his final three. Kueth Duany led the Orange offense with a career-high 16 points, 15 of which he scored in the second half of play.
