
Orangewomen Eliminated From Omni Hotels Tennis Championship

PHILADELPHIA — Two women's singles players from Syracuse University and an Orange doubles team was eliminated from the Omni Hotels Eastern Region Tennis Championship, in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 28.
Masha Kabanova (Moscow, Russia/ School #528) and Daniela Kaluskova (Prague, Czech/ Gym Budejovicka) both lost their matches in the second round of singles play. Kabanova was defeated, 6-3, 6-1, by Yale's Margaret Purcell. Kaluskova lost to Temple's Danira Penic, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles play Kabanova and Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA/ Calabasas) lost, 8-1, to Harvard's Alexis Matire and Sanja Bajin.
This competition concludes the fall schedule for the Orangewomen.
