#19 Orangewomen Headed for Pivotal Showdown with #9 UConn

The 19th-ranked Syracuse University women's soccer team (6-2 overall, 2-1 Northeast Division) will embark on a crucial two-game road trip that could decide who will win the BIG EAST Norhteast Division. SU is tied for second in the standings with #24 Miami and will head to Storrs for a pivotal game with Connecticut Friday night.
UConn (7-3 ovearll, 4-0 NE), ranked ninth in the Oct. 1 NSCAA poll, sits atop the NE Division and has never lost to Syracuse.
The Huskies are coming off a 2-1 loss to #13 Florida on Tuesday, and narrowly escaped defeat with a 2-1 overtime victory against Providence last Sunday.
SU will then travel to St. John's (2-6 overall, 1-2 BIG EAST) to battle the Red Storm on Sunday afternoon.
