2001-02 Orangemen Make Debut Tonight

Fans will get a first glimpse at the 2001-02 Orangemen basketball squad tonight when it takes on Upstate NY AAU in an exhibition game at 7:00 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.
The two teams met last season, with Syracuse coming out with an 86-70 victory. DeShaun Williams and Allen Griffin led the Orangemen with 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Former Syracuse performer Lazarus Sims returns to action tonight as a member of the Upstate NY AAU team. Sims still ranks sixth in career assists at SU (432).
Tickets for tonight's game are $5 for adults and free for SU students and youths ages 18 and under.
