Orange Plus Inducts Two Into Hall of Fame

Strnadova-Bacova, who graduated in 1996, was the first SU women's tennis student-athlete to earn All-America honors. She represented SU at the NCAA Championship in three of her four years. She is the all-time winningest tennis player in SU history. Strnadova-Bacova is currently in her second year as an assistant coach for the Orangewomen.
The 18th honorary inductee into the Orange Plus Hall of Fame, Adams is in her 19th year on the staff at Syracuse University. She has been a member of the Orange Plus Board of Directors since 1987. In her position as associate director of athletics, Adams is responsible for facilities management, game administration and event management. She is a member of several BIG EAST conference and NCAA committees. Adams is also active within the University and the Syracuse community. She has served on the University Senate and currently is a member of the University's R.A.P.E. Center Advisory Board and the University's Safety Committee. She is also a member of the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Sports Advisory Committee.
Kimmey was selected to receive the 2001 Bilbrough Award to recognize his dedication to Orangewomen athletics. The Bilbrough Award is presented to a member of the community for their loyalty, dedication and continuous support of SU women's athletics. It is named in honor of Kathy Bilbrough, who worked in the Department of Athletics for 24 years. Kimmey has served as the official clock operator at women's basketball games since 1982.
In her 24th year as the Orangewomen field hockey coach, Parker has guided the team to more than 260 victories. In 2000 she earned her 250th career win. Parker, who is also a member of the Orange Plus Hall of Fame, and the 2001 Orangewomen enter the 2001 BIG EAST Field Hockey Championship as the top seed after winning the regular season conference championship with a 5-0 league record.
Walker is in his 26th year as the head women's swimming and diving coach at his alma mater. He has directed the Orangewomen to winning seasons in 24 of 25 years at the helm. He has coached four women All-Americans, each of whom have won the honor multiple times. Walker, who is also a member of the Orange Plus Hall of Fame, coached Syracuse University's first-ever four-time All-American -- Liz Vilbert.
