Jim Boeheim's 26th season as head coach of the Orangemen officially begins in the Carrier Dome on November 12, when SU hosts Manhattan in the first round of the NIT. SUathletics.com is paying tribute to the coaching legend with "Boeheim 25 Years in 25 Days." The 1992-93 season was the 17th year in the Boeheim era, the Orange went 20-9 and the coach won his 400th game.

SU officially started basketball in January of 1901, losing to Rochester Polytechnical Institute, 20-8.
BIG GAME: Win No. 400
February 27, 1993 marked Jim Boeheim's 400th career win as the head coach of the Orangemen. Lawrence Moten led the way for the Orangemen with 19 points, six rebounds and four steals. Adrian Autry scored 21 points going six for six from the line. Despite shooting 91.7% in the first half, the Orange trailed at half time, 34-29. In the second half the Orange shot 86.7% from the field to propel them to a one point victory, 68-67.
