SU Volleyball To Host Seton Hall And St. John's In Season Finale

SYRACUSE, NY - Seniors Noreen Carroll (La Grange, IL/Lyons Township), Carol Munger (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy), and J.J. Wang (Beijing Institute for Physical Education/Beijing, China) play in their last two matches as Orangewomen this weekend.
Syracuse (14-11, 3-7 BIG EAST) hosts Seton Hall on Friday night at 7 p.m. and then faces St. John’s on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both matches are at the Women’s Building.
SU’s six-match winning streak was snapped last weekend with BIG EAST losses to Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Munger recorded a career-high 22 kills against the Mountaineers to raise her season kill total to 194. She has hit in double figures and led the team in kills in five of the last six matches.
Carroll notched her seventh double-double of the season against West Virginia with 58 assists and 21 digs. With her four block assists, Carroll moved into seventh place on SU’s all-time block assists list with 244. The all-time assists leader at Syracuse, Carroll, is ranked 10th all-time at SU with 126 career matches played, ninth in career games played (443), seventh with 897 career digs and ninth in career digs per game (1.86).
Syracuse leads the series against Seton Hall, 21-3, including last year’s 3-0 win. Seton Hall is 12-11 on the year and 5-5 in BIG EAST play. SU holds a 5-2 advantage versus St. John’s. The Red Storm are 17-8 overall and 5-5 in BIG EAST play.
