McBride Scores 12 in BIG EAST All-Stars First Victory

Bonn, Germany ? Syracuse University freshman Julie McBride
(Mechanicville, NY) scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in the
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball All-Stars’ 84-64 victory against Bonn BBC on
Tuesday. Under the direction of Syracuse head coach Marianna Freeman,
the All-Stars will play five more games on a tour of Germany.
The All-Stars were held scoreless until the five-minute mark of the first quarter, but outscored the opponent 12-2 over the next three minutes. The BIG EAST team took a 49-35 halftime lead and began the second half with a 10-0 run.
The BIG EAST All-Stars will face Bonn BBC in the second game of the six-game tour.
