Men's and Women's Cross Country to Open Season at Bucknell Saturday

Both men's and women's squads are young, but enthusiasm by runners and the coaching staff are encouraging signs heading into Saturday.
Freshman Tim Scarpinato (Corinth, N.Y./Beaver River) will lead the men in his first collegiate race. Hartshorn is looking for strong performances from classmates Brian McNeil (Franklin, Mass./St. John's) and Kevin Goff (Suffield, Conn./ Suffield) as well as sophomores Nathan Rath (Dubuque, Iowa/ Hempstead) and Karl Baum (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central).
Another freshman expected to make an impact in her debut is Leah Folmsbee (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake). Junior Aleccia Boland (London, Ont./Banting) and freshman Erin Clarke (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) have also looked good in preseason workouts.
The competition begins at 11 a.m.
