
Orangemen Soccer to Take on Adelphi

The Syracuse men's soccer team will try for its second-consecutive victory Saturday afternoon when they travel to Long Island to take on the Adelphi Panthers.
Syracuse is 1-1 on the season after defeating Colgate, 3-2, in overtime on Wednesday.
Senior co-captain John Andrade (East Providence, R.I./East Providence) scored his fifth career game-winning goal versus the Red Raiders. He ended the game just over two minutes into the extra session with his first tally of the season.
Rookie forward Jarett Park (Tull, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) had a breakout game on offense. The freshman hand a hand in all three goals with two assists and a score of his own. Park now leads the team in scoring with five points on a goal and three assists.
Freshman goalkeeper David Rabazzi (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenedehowa) earned his first collegiate victory, making three saves versus Colgate.
The Orangemen have won seven consecutive games versus Adelphi, including last year's 5-1 win at home. The Panthers were ranked 21st in the nation at the time.
Adelphi is 0-2 on the season after losing a pair of 3-0 decisions.
