
Orangewomen Lacrosse Hires New Graduate Assistant Coach

SYRACUSE, NY - Former Orangewomen All-American Lauren Brady joins the women’s lacrosse staff as a graduate assistant coach for the 2002 spring season. Brady, SU’s single-season record holder with 44 goals, will assist working with the offense.
Brady compiled 115 points on 102 goals and 13 assists in her career at Syracuse. She stands second all-time at SU for career points and goals and is tied for fifth for most points in a season with 46.
As a graduate student last season, Brady was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. The two-time captain picked up a team-high 33 groundballs and posted 21 goals and three assists for the Orangewomen.
Brady had a breakthrough year during the 2000 season, leading the team with 44 goals. She scored a career-high and school-record seven goals against Cornell and tallied four goals in a game three times during the season. She was named IWLCA Regional-All-American First Team, third-team All-American and US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American.
Brady is completing her master’s of science degree in information resource management. She received her undergraduate degree in biology in the spring of 2000.
Former SU graduate assistant Chris Lindsey received her master’s in business administration in December and is staying with the Orangewomen staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the spring season.
