Scalzo Earns NSCAA All-Northeast Region Honors

Syracuse University women's soccer sophomore forward Nina Scalzo (Webster, N.Y./Webster) has earned a spot on the NSCAA/adidas All-Northeast Region Third Team for her performance in the 2001 season.
Scalzo led the team in scoring with 25 points (the most for an Orangewoman since 1998) on 11 goals and three assists. She had four two-goal games in wins against New Mexico, Georgetown, Seton Hall and Colgate during the season.
Syracuse finished with a 12-7 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA College Cup where it lost to national champion Santa Clara, 4-1.
