She scored 11 of SU's last 17 points in the half to cut the halftime deficit to 37-34. She hit all 17 of her second-half points in the 13-point comeback during the last 12:33. She also went 7-for-7 at the free throw line in the second half.
She is averaging 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season. Those numbers increase to 15.8 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game for BIG EAST contests.
Perry is the third Orangewoman to take home BIG EAST Player of the Week honors this season. Sophomore guard Julie McBride (Mechanicville, N.Y./Catholic Central) earned the award on Nov. 26 and senior guard Jaime James (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North) won the same distinction on Jan. 14.
It is the first time since the 1987-88 season that three different SU players have won the award in the same season.
