Conway Named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week

Syracuse University women’s volleyball player Kristen Conway (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Monday, Oct. 7. Conway helped the Orangewomen (13-6, 2-2 BiG EAST) to three wins on the road last weekend, including two BIG EAST victories.
Conway recorded a career-high 25 kills against Seton Hall in a 3-2 win on Saturday, Oct. 6. She committed only six errors on 53 attempts for a .358 attack percentage. The outside hitter collected her fourth career double-double against Rutgers with 13 kills and 16 digs. Conway leads the Orangewomen with 190 kills.
Syracuse returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when it faces Villanova on the road at 2 p.m. On Sunday, SU competes against Georgetown at 1 p.m.
