Damone Brown Selected In NBDL Draft

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The North Charleston Lowgators of the National Basketball Development League selected former Orangeman Damone Brown in the seventh round of the league's draft Thursday.
Brown was drafted by the Philadelpha 76ers in the second round (37th overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft. Last season, he appeared in 17 games and averaged 1.4 points per game. Brown participated in Philadelphia's training camp in 2002.
Brown finished his Syracuse career as the Orangemen's 30th all-time scorer with 1,230 points. He was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team as a senior.
North Charleston, who won the NBDL's inaugural regular season title, open their regular season schedule on Nov. 15 at Mobile.
