Student-Athletes Celebrate Thanksgiving Early at Stonehedge Elementary School

Members of the Syracuse University football, track and field, rowing and women's lacrosse teams attended a Thanksgiving luncheon at Stonehedge Elementary School in Camillus, N.Y. on Monday, November 25, at 11:30 a.m.

Seniors Clifton Smith, Troy Nunes, and Erik Kaloyanides were there from the football team, while women's lacrosse player Erin MacDonald, women's rower Emily Havalchek, and women's track and field standout Alison Culley were also in attendance.

The student-athletes met with three first-grade classes at the school where they read stories to the children and answered questions before sitting down with them for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The event, coordinated by the Student Athlete Council, is part of Syracuse University's continuing commitment to service within the Syracuse community.
