Orangemen Add WNSA-FM To Radio Lineup

The regular season tips off on Thursday, November 14 (7:00 p.m.) as S.U. takes on Memphis at Madison Square Garden in the AT&T Wireless Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. WNSA's schedule includes 13 Big East matchups including contests against nationally ranked Pittsburgh and Connecticut, as well as popular opponents in Georgetown, Notre Dame and St. John's.
Mark Johnson, in his first year as the "Voice of the Orange", will handle play-by-play duties. He will be joined by color analyst Matt Park, who also joins the Orangemen broadcast crew this season.
SU is coming off a 23-13 season and a NIT bid in 2001-02, returning seven players and two starters from that team. Senior Kueth Duany tops the list of returnees. Duany started all 36 games for the Orangemen a year ago and averaged 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest. He will be joined in the lineup this season by freshman Carmelo Anthony, a consensus high school All-America selection from Oak Hill Academy (VA). Anthony totaled 37 points in an exhibition game against Nike Elite last week in his first game in an S.U. uniform.
107.7 WNSA is the radio home of the Buffalo Sabres.
