Orangewomen Will Try to "Make Manley Magical"

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's basketball team in conjunction with WJPZ 89.1-FM, the flagship home of Orangewomen basketball, will attempt to break the Manley Field House single-game attendance record on Saturday, Feb. 23 versus West Virginia at 2 p.m.
The promotion, called "Make Manley Magical," will feature several events. WJPZ, in addition to giving away tickets to the game on the air, will also hold special prize drawings throughout the contest. Hendricks Chapel will be on hand to collect blankets for its "Share the Warmth" program to help the needy of Central New York.
Two tickets to SU men's basketball game versus Boston College on March 3 will also be given away.
The game will also be Diabetes Awareness Day at Manley Field House. A representative of the American Diabetes Association will be on hand to speak about the disease at halftime.
Tickets for the game are $4 for adults, $2 for ages 18-and-under and 60-and-over, and $1 for Syracuse University students.
The Orangewomen's current single-game attendance record at Manley Field House is 3,517 set on Feb. 25, 1995 versus Connecticut.
