Orangewomen Lacrosse Ranked Seventh In IWLCA Poll

The Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team moved up to seventh in the IWLCA rankings released on Tuesday, March 5. It is the highest ranking for the Orangewomen in the program’s five-year history.
SU was ranked 10th in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Preseason Poll before defeating No. 7 Virginia, 12-10, on Saturday, March 2.
The Orangewomen (2-0) play their first home game on Sunday, March 10 against fifth-ranked Maryland at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Terrapins were ranked No.1 in the preseason poll but lost its first two games of the season.
