The Orangemen are slated to host Boston College and St. John's and travel to Connecticut and Miami in 2002-03. Each of the four East Division foes represented the Conference in the NCAA Tournament this past March.
Connecticut reached the regional finals before losing to eventual national champion Maryland. The Huskies completed the campaign with a 27-7 record. Each BIG EAST member plays each divisional member in home-and-home sets, plus four contests against cross-divison rivals. Boston College and St. John's had identical 20-12 marks and lost in the first round of the NCAA postseason. Miami also lost in the opening game of the NCAA's, and ended up 24-8 on the season.
The BIG EAST Conference will announce the complete ledger of crossover opponents on Thursday afternoon, June 13. Game dates will be announced at a later date.
Syracuse was 23-13 last season and advanced to the NIT semifinals.
