Women's Soccer Opens BIG EAST Home Schedule Against No. 13 Connecticut Tonight

Syracuse (2-3-1) will be looking to get off on the right foot in The BIG EAST as it opens its conference slate against 13th-ranked Connecticut (5-1-1) at 7 p.m. tonight at the Soccer Stadium. UConn stopped the midseason momentum of the 19th-ranked Orange last year with a 3-1 victory in Storrs, Conn.

After a pair of losses at the Gator Invitational at the University of Florida last weekend, Syracuse experienced its seventh set of back-to-back losses in its seven-year history. SU is 4-1-1 all-time after two straight losses.

The Orangewomen are 19-6-2 (.741 pct.) all-time against BIG EAST Conference opponents at the Syracuse Soccer Stadium. Two of those six losses have come against the Huskies.

Connecticut is 7-0 all-time against Syracuse. The Huskies are riding a four-game unbeaten streak into tonight's game, losing only to nationally-ranked Florida, 3-2, on Sept. 6. Kristen Graczyk leads the team with six goals and three assists for 15 points.
