SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior Brian McNeil of the Orangemen cross country team was named the SU Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 27.

McNeil has been named to the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll all four of his semesters at Syracuse, and he is a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star. Earlier this season, McNeil won a dual race with Binghamton in a time of 26:31.74. In his only other appearance of the fall, McNeil finished 17th at the Maryland Invitational in a time of 25:53.52.

McNeil and the Syracuse cross country teams will compete at the BIG EAST Championship, Friday, Oct. 31, at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
