
Orangewomen Close Out Regular Season Versus Princeton

Ferri made her first career start versus Colgate on Oct. 22 and made six saves. She walked on to the squad in the spring of her freshman year and saw her first game action earlier this season versus Albany on Sept. 25.
Huez has started 15 games this season and recorded eight shots. She was the winner of the team’s Unsung Hero Award in 2002 and has five career points.
Lapalme has started every game of her career and earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors in 2002. She was also voted the team’s MVP. She has nine career goals, which is tied for 11th on SU’s all-time list.
Mastrogiacomo is tied for ninth on SU’s all-time assists list with nine career helpers. She earned conference defensive player of the week honors for the week of Sept. 29 after she quarterbacked the Orangewomen’s defense to back-to-back shutouts versus Albany and Seton Hall.
Syracuse will be trying to rebound from a 6-0 loss to No. 13 Connecticut on Oct. 25. Sophomore keeper Emily Kowalczyk made three saves in the contest tying teammate Shannon Myers for sixth on SU’s single-season saves chart with 42 stops.
The Princeton Tigers have won three of their last four matches, including a 1-1 tie with Harvard. The Tigers are led by junior Esmeralda Negron, who was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after scoring three goals and recording an assist in two Tiger wins. Negron leads the team with 25 points and is complemented by Emily Behncke who has 17 points on six goals and seven assists.
It will be the first meeting between the two schools. The Orangewomen are 7-4-1 all-time versus Ivy League opponents.
