
Orangewomen Lacrosse Inks Four For 2003-04

Syracuse University women's lacrosse head coach Lisa Miller announced that four players have signed national letters of intent to play for the Orangewomen beginning with the 2003-2004 school year.
Jill DePetris (Radnor, PA) is a captain for the Archbishop Carroll High School lacrosse team. As a junior, she recorded 37 goals, 27 assists, 67 groundballs and 30 interceptions. The midfielder helped lead her team to three league championships and was a two-time second-team All-Catholic and All-Maine Line selection. She also is a four-year member of the field hockey team.
Ashley Pike (Watertown, NY) is a three-time captain of the General Brown High School lacrosse team. The midfielder was a three-time Frontier-League All-Star. She also was a four-year member of the soccer and basketball teams.
Sharee Richardson (Ellicott City, MD) led Howard High School with 31 goals during her junior year. She also recorded 18 groundballs, 14 draws and was named the team’s best offensive player. She was a four-year member of the soccer and basketball teams.
Bethel Steele (Homer, NY), a goalie, was named to the New York Team Five in the annual National Schoolgirls Tournament last spring. In her career at Homer Senior High School, Steele recorded 229 saves and posted a .574 save percentage and a 8.57 goals against average. She was named OSHL Second-Team All-League in 2002.
The Orangewomen open their 2003 season with a home game against Virginia on Saturday, March 1 at noon.
