Orangewomen Tennis Defeats Miami (OH), 7-0

Senior Masha Kabanova needed three sets to defeat Grace Cascarilla, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6. Seniors Daniela Kaluskova, Shervin Saedinia, junior Trine Lise Juliussen and freshman Wei-Ming Leong each won their matches in straight sets. Sophomore Kristine Bech Holte won her match by default when Ilze Meyer retired with the score at 6-2, 2-1.
In doubles, Kabanova and Saedinia lost 8-1 at No. 1 to Megan Zinder and Remy Swain. Kaluskova and Holte paired at No. 2 to defeat Nancy Wiegand and Meyer, 8-1, and Leong and Juliussen defeated Cascarilla and Maura Trauernicht, 8-3, to win the doubles point for Syracuse.
The Orangewomen (5-4) face Southern Illinois on Thursday, March 13, at 12:00 p.m.
