
Orangewomen Tennis Names Radeljevic Assistant Coach

“Ana comes from great tennis programs in Croatia and at Old Dominion,” Gifford said. “I think she’ll work well with our student-athletes because she’s hard-working and energetic. I’m looking forward to working with her.”
Radeljevic joins the Syracuse coaching staff after four seasons competing for Old Dominion. An Academic All-American last year, Radeljevic captained the Monarchs during the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. She was a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team selection. She was the recipient of the Donna Boyle Memorial Scholarship Award in 2000-01, and the Thomas L. Scott Memorial Scholarship during the 1999-00 and 2001-02 academic years.
Radeljevic’s tennis accomplishments include a berth in the NCAA Tournament in doubles her junior season, and a top-30 national ranking in doubles with two-time All-American Nataly Cahana. In 2000-01, the Zagreb, Croatia native posted a 20-2 singles record, including a 17-0 mark at No. 3 singles. Paired with Cahana, she had a 20-2 record at No. 1 doubles. Last season, she posted a 15-5 record at No. 1 doubles with Cahana. The pair won the Cissy Leary Invitational and the Omni Hotels Eastern Region Championship in the fall. In singles, Radeljevic posted a 24-11 record, including a 17-5 mark in dual matches. The Lady Monarchs had a 13-9 dual-match record in 2001-02.
Her coaching and teaching experience includes summer stints at The Meadow Club in Southampton, N.Y., in 2001, where she was a counselor, and at the Schwetzingen Tennis Club in Schwetzingen, Germany in 1999. Radeljevic interned at UBS Paine Webber during the fall of 2002 while she finished her degree in finance. She also held a summer position as a Financial Analyst Assistant at Zagrebacka Banka in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2000.
