SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse tennis team kicks off its 2003-04 season at the Cornell Invitational, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14. The Orangewomen will test themselves against Binghamton, Rutgers, Lehigh and the host Big Red.

The tournament will be in a bracketed format, with each school's top three singles players and top two doubles pairs in the first groups. There will be three singles brackets and two doubles brackets.

The Orangewomen return just three letterwinners from last season's 10-8 team. Seniors Jessica Schlosser and Trine Lise Juliussen will lead a young team that consists of five freshmen and one sophomore, Wei-Ming Leong.
