SU Tennis Travels to the Wilson/ITA East Regional Championship

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse tennis team will send one singles player and one doubles team to the Wilson/ITA East Regional Championship in Philadelphia, Pa., October 22-26. The Orange will be represented by freshman Victoria Vaynberg in the main singles draw and the freshmen doubles team of Vaynberg and Catherine Zawadzki in the main doubles draw.
In addition to SU, the event will feature some of the top players from the Eastern Region. This week’s top singles seeds are: Ramona But of Maryland, Megan Muth of William and Mary, Courtney Bergman of Harvard, Marianna Yuferova of Virginia Commonwealth, Olga Borisova of Virginia Commonwealth, Susanna Lingman of Harvard, Megan Molton-Levy of William and Mary and Anat Elazari of Virginia Tech.
Qualifying action for singles and doubles begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22. Main draw action starts at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, beginning with doubles.
The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Michigan on November 4-7.
