Orange Men's Basketball Hosts Colgate Saturday Night

SYRACUSE, NY -- The #3/5 Syracuse Orange (6-0) welcomes New York State foe Colgate (2-3) to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. This is the 157th meeting between the two programs and the Orange holds a 111-45 advantage in the all-time series, including 36 straight victories. The Orange and the Raiders first met in the 1901-02 season.
Along with SU’s 36 straight wins over Colgate, the Orange has not lost to an in-state resident in its last 30 games, since February 19, 2000, when St. John’s beat Syracuse, 76-75.
The Orange is coming off a win against St. Bonaventure, 91-67, Wednesday night in the Carrier Dome. It was SU’s 11th consecutive victory versus the Bonnies.
Senior forward Josh Pace posted the first double-double of his career against the Bonnies with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Pace also tallied three assists and three steals. In addition, he did not commit a turnover in his 22 minutes on the court.
The Syracuse ISP Sports Network will broadcast the Syracuse-Colgate game on its local AM affiliate, ESPN1260. Matt Park will call the action with Gene Waldron offering analysis. The game will also be televised on tape delay by Time Warner Channel 26. Mark Larson and Howard Triche will have the call.
SU heads to New York City for the second time this season to face Oklahoma State in the Jimmy V. Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 9 p.m.
