Warrick Named Co-BIG EAST Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI - Syracuse senior forward and National Player of the Year candidate Hakim Warrick has been named Co-BIG EAST Player of the Week along with Chevon Troutman from Pittsburgh, the league office announced on Dec. 6.
Warrick led the Orange to wins against St. Bonaventure (91-67) and Colgate (68-55), averaging 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. He shot 17-of-24 from the floor (70.8 percent) in the two games.
In SU’s triumph against St. Bonaventure, Warrick scored 18 points and grabbed 11 boards. Against Colgate, he had 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting and registered nine rebounds.
SU plays Oklahoma State on Tuesday, December 7, at 9:00 p.m. in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. SU returns to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, December 11 when it faces Binghamton. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
