
Nine Orangewomen Softball Players Earn Academic Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Nine members of the Syracuse softball team have been named to the SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2003 semesters. The AD Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a semester grade point average of 3.0 or better.
Senior Rachel Park made the honor roll for the ninth time in her career. Park received her bachelor’s degree in political science last spring and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Syracuse.
Senior Nikki Lincoln has made the AD Honor Roll in each of her seven semesters at Syracuse. Junior Tanya Rose and sophomores Alexis Switenko and Lindsay Van Gorden have also been honored in each of their semesters with the Orangewomen.
The Orange had four first-time honorees in freshman Caitlin Grattan, sophomore Cassie Morales, junior Katie Kaempfer and junior college transfer Melissa Kelly.
Syracuse begins its fifth season of play on February 13 at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament hosted by Arizona State.
