
Gerry McNamara Ranked Ninth in NCAA Free-Throw Percentage

In the 18 games the Orangemen have played this season, McNamara has hit 65-of-73 attempts from the stripe. The 6'2" guard has not missed a free-throw in any of the seven conference games played this season, having made all 23 of his league attempts.
In his first year with the Orangemen, McNamara recorded 53-of-55 free-throws, setting the BIG EAST's individual season free-throw percentage and individual freshman season free-throw percentage records at .964.
McNamara led the Orangemen with his .909 (90-99) overall percentage from the line last year and ranked eighth in NCAA Division I. His performance also put him at the top of the Syracuse all-time individual free-throw percentage chart.
McNamara is averaging 16.4 points per game in league play and 16.6 overall.
The Orangemen are currently 14-4 overall and 4-3 in league play. The team will play at Providence on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 12:00 p.m.
