Basketball Orangemen Set for Phoenix

The defending national champion Syracuse Orangemen, the fifth seed in the Phoenix Regional, will face No. 8 seed Alabama in the second game of the evening in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 on Thursday, March 25. Sixth-seeded Vanderbilt will face No. 2 seed Connecticut in the first game, which will begin at 5:10 p.m. (Mountain Time, which is two hours earlier than Eastern Time). The Orangemen and the Crimson Tide will tipoff 30 minutes following the first game.

SU basketball fans who will be in Phoenix can get geared up for the games beginning on Wednesday during the day of open practice. The Orangemen take the floor at America West Arena at 3:10 p.m. (MT) and will practice for 50 minutes. For a scouting report on Alabama, fans can watch the Crimson Tide practice at 1:00 p.m. (MT). Vanderbilt will practice at Noon (MT) and Connecticut will be on the practice floor at 2:10 p.m. (MT).

Tickets purchased through Syracuse University can be picked up at the Will Call window in the main ticket trailer at America West Arena. The trailer is located on the corner of 1st and Jefferson Street. The will call window will be open from 3:10 p.m. (MT) through halftime of the Syracuse game.
