Orangewomen Tennis Team Plays Three Matches in Florida

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's tennis team will play Southern Illinois, Boston University and American in Florida as part of its annual spring break trip this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 11-13.
In 2003, the Orangewomen defeated Southern Illinois in Fort Lauderdale, 6-1. Current senior Trine Lise Juliussen won her No. 4 singles match, 6-0, 6-0, against Zuzana Palovic. She paired with classmate Jessica Schlosser at No. 3 doubles, but lost, 9-7, to oya Honarmand and Jessica Knitter. Syracuse did not play Boston University or American last season.
SU won all three of its matches in Florida last season. On the first day, Syracuse defeated Miami (Ohio), 7-0, winning every match except No. 1 doubles. In the final match of the trip, Syracuse defeated Dartmouth, 7-0, sweeping the Big Green.
The Orangewomen hold a 3-7 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the BIG EAST.
