Junior Valerie Boling won the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.20. Junior Leah Folmsbee won the 3,000-meter run in a time of 10:57.2. Freshman David Wishart won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:37.33.
SU’s other top performers included freshman Jake Palas, who placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.30, and freshman Matt Lawson, who placed second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:05.38. Senior Nathan Rath placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:39.86. Sophomore Jonathon Reed finished third in the pole vault, clearing 3.96 meters. Freshman Brian Allen finished third in the long jump with a leap of 6.48 meters. Freshman Matt Glowacki placed second in the shot put with a heave of 14.40 meters. For the Orangewomen, freshman Candace Ince placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 2:23.03. In the high jump, sophomore Jennifer Kooken tied for second with a leap of 1.55 meters.
Syracuse next competes at the BIG EAST Championship, April 30-May 2, in Piscataway, N.J.
