EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse freshman women's basketball player Lauren Kohn spoke to more than 400 people attending the 2004 ESM Youth Sports basketball awards night at East Syracuse Minoa High School on Monday, April 26.

The event was put on by ESM Youth Sports which sponsors a recreational basketball program for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Kohn spoke to the group on the value of setting goals. Following the presentation, she and men's basketball player Ronneil Herron handed out awards and signed autographs.

Kohn was a 2004 BIG EAST All-Freshman team pick after leading the Orangewomen with 52 three-pointers. She was second on the team in scoring, averaging 8.1 points per contest.
