
Malgieri Named SU Athletics Coordinator of Career Development

Prior to her appointment at Syracuse, Malgieri was the academic coordinator for student-athletes at Providence College for the past three years, and also served as the college’s associate director of the office of academic services for the past two years.
A native of Syracuse, Maglieri was a guidance counselor for East Syracuse-Minoa High School for three years before joining the staff at Providence. Maglieri has also worked as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Colgate University (1995 to 1998) and St. Lawrence University (1991-92). She was the assistant director of career planning at St. Lawrence in 1993-94 and the assistant director of career and employment services at St. Anselm College in 1994-95.
Malgieri earned bachelor’s degrees in English and political science from Bucknell University in 1990 and earned a master’s in education in counseling and human development from St. Lawrence University in 1993.
