Duan Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior volleyball player Kelly Duan has been honored as Syracuse University’s Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 13.
Duan, a finance and accounting major, has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll three of her four semesters. She was named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star as a sophomore. Duan posted a career-high 21 kills at Boston College in 2003. She was second on the team with 313 digs and 2.72 digs per game last season.
The Orange opened the 2004 season with eight consecutive wins, its best start since 1991. SU travels to Colgate on Sept. 14 for a 7 p.m. match.
