Kohn Wins Third Straight 60-Meter Dash

ITHACA, N.Y. – Sophomore Aulton Kohn won the 60-meter dash in his third consecutive competition. Kohn finished with a time of 6.83 at the Upstate Challenge at Cornell University. Sophomore Sheron Mark took first in the pentathlon and set an SU indoor record with 3,246 points. The men and women both finished third out of six teams.

Kohn also took top honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.04 and sophomore Martin Semenowicz took second with a time of 22.68. Junior Brien Flewelling finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.00. Sophomore Daniel Pribula took third in the weight throw with a personal-best throw of 50-00.75. Pribula also finished second in the shot put with a toss of 51-01.00, which qualified him for both the BIG EAST and IC4A. Junior Craig Stivala took second in the heptathlon with 4,819 points.

Senior Valerie Boling took first in the 200-meters with a time of 25.50 and second in the 400-meters in 57.89 seconds. Senior Leah Folmsbee took third place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:24.60. Junior Sarah Bentley took third in the pole vault with a mark of 10-10.00 and junior Jessyca Jackson tied for fourth clearing 10-04.00. Senior Tatianna Warren took top honors in the long jump and triple jump with marks of 18-01.00 and 38-04.00, respectively. Junior Kristen Michalski qualified for BIG EAST and ECAC in the weight throw with a mark of 53-10.50, fourth at the Upstate Challenge. Freshmen Jillian Drouin and Kaity Lambracht in second and third behind Mark in the pentathlon with scores of 3,043 points and 2,306 points, respectively.

The Orange track and field teams travel to the University of Illinois for the Illinois Invitational on Saturday, January 29.
