Joines Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Monica Joines, a captain on the women’s lacrosse team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 3.
Joines was selected to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in five of her six semesters. She is also a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star selection. She was selected to the 2004 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. Joines is majoring in political science and public relations at Syracuse.
The women’s lacrosse team will host Pennsylvania for a scrimmage on February 12.
