Doubles Duo Advances at ITA Regional

West Point, N.Y.- The doubles pairing of Victoria Vaynberg (Princeton, N.J.) and Catherine Zawadzki (Brooklyn, N.Y.) won two matches on Sunday to advance to the round of 16 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Indoor Regional. They will meet Kurashimn/Maslesa of Temple in Monday's third round.
In the opening round, Vaynberg/Zawadzki defeated Clarke/Fung-Kee-Fung of Lafayette, 8-2 before beating Rutgers' Balasa/Gordon, 8-6.
Vaynberg was eliminated from the singles tournament on Sunday losing to Megan Muth of William & Mary, 6-4, 6-1.
Action resumes on Monday with round of 16 doubles action.
