SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Kelly Duan, a member of the Orange volleyball team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 24.

Duan, who hails from Baotou City, China, has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star twice.

Duan has been a vital part of the Orange’s seven-match win streak which vaulted it to third place in the BIG EAST behind national powers Louisville and Notre Dame, who are both undefeated in the conference.

The Orange hosts three matches this weekend. On Friday, it hosts Rutgers at 7:00 p.m. in the Women’s Building. On Saturday, Fordham comes to Manley Field House for a 2:00 p.m. tilt. On Sunday, SU faces Villanova, who is one win behind the Orange in the standings, in the Women’s Building at 2:00 p.m.
