SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 21, 2005 – Syracuse University and Time Warner Sports have agreed to air the Orange’s women’s lacrosse clash with Dartmouth on February 27, 2006. The game at the Carrier Dome is a rematch of last season’s first round match up in the NCAA Tournament that the Big Green won, 9-8.
The game will be the first aired by Time Warner Sports since it carried five of nine home women’s lacrosse games during the 2004 season.
SU and Time Warner Sports also agreed to air four men’s basketball games, three women’s basketball games, and seven men’s lacrosse contests this year.
Time Warner Sports 26, Time Warner Cable’s Syracuse Division regional sports network, has provided a growing schedule of local and regional scholastic, collegiate and professional sporting events. One of the cornerstones of that schedule has always been Syracuse University athletics.
The 2005 SU schedule features 11 home games, which is the most since it played 11 at the Dome in 2001. The Orange went 10-5 that season. SU also hosts seven-consecutive home games in the month of March, which will be the longest home stand in the program’s nine year history.
