
Sophomore Aulton Kohn's personal best mark in the 60-meter dash of 6.81 seconds is tied for first in the BIG EAST this season.
BIG EAST Championship Returns to the Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The SU track and field teams have spent all season preparing for this weekend, The BIG EAST Indoor Championship on Feb. 19-20 at the Carrier Dome. This is the 27th consecutive year that the Dome will host the conference track and field championship.
Sophomore Aulton Kohn is tied for the best time this season in the BIG EAST 60-meter dash with his personal best time of 6.81. Kohn has taken top honors in four of his five races this season. He finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.81 in SU’s first meet at Cornell. Kohn took top honors in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.86 at the USTCA Series Meet. At the Cornell Four Way, Kohn won the 60-meter dash in his third consecutive competition with a time of 6.83. Kohn also took top honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.68. Kohn again took top honors at the Syracuse University Invitational in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 6.89 and the 200-meters with a time of 21.84.
Junior Jessyca Jackson took top honors in the pole vault and set a new SU indoor record, 11-5 ¾ at the Cornell Relays. Jackson then broke that record at the Syracuse Invitational with a mark of 11-9 ¾.
At the USTCA Series Meet, the distance medley relay team of sophomore Matt Lawson, senior Valerij Petrulevich and juniors Chris Muldoon and Craig Stivala broke a 17-year-old SU record with a time of 9:58.07, which was good for a first place finish. Petrulevich also finished third in the 800-meters at the Illinois Invitational with a time of 1:53.02, just one second behind the school record he set last season.
Muldoon finished first in the mile at the SU Invitational with a time of 4:15.30. He also finished third in the mile run with a time of 4:09.82 at the Illinois Invitational. Stivala earned first place in the pole vault at the SU Invitational with a personal best mark of 15-03. Stivala took second in the heptathlon at the Cornell Four Way with 4,819 points.
Senior Jenna Grimaldi qualified for ECAC and the BIG EAST in the high jump clearing 5-7 and taking first place at SU’s first indoor meet. At the Illinois Invitational Grimaldi took first in the high jump with a mark of 5-07.
Junior Brien Flewelling qualified for BIG EAST in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.00 at the Cornell Relay. He finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.00 at the Cornell Four Way.
At the Cornell Four Way, senior Tatiana Warren took top honors in the long jump and triple jump with marks of 18-01.00 and 38-04, respectively. Warren finished first in the triple at the SU Invitational with a mark of 38-02 ¾. She finished second in the long jump with a mark of 18-10 ¼.
Sophomore Sheron Mark took first in the pentathlon and set an SU indoor record with 3,246 points at the Cornell Four Way. She also took first in the triple jump at the Penn State Relays with a mark of 38-07.75. Mark had BIG EAST qualifying marks in the triple and high jump at the Cornell Relays. She finished second in both with marks of 38-00 ¼ and 5-05, respectively.
Freshman Brittany Pryor was named the ECAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week on Feb. 8, after she placed first in the shot put at the SU Invitational with a distance of 15.55m, which was a personal best, a BIG EAST qualifying mark, an ECAC qualifying mark, and an NCAA provisional mark.
