Warrick Named To USBWA All-America Team

SYRACUSE, NY -- Senior forward Hakim Warrick has been named second team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association. He was one of five second-team picks. The USBWA also selected a five-member first team.
Warrick was named the BIG EAST Conference Player of the Year on Tuesday night. He was on the league's first team, as well. The USBWA also picked Warrick as its District 2 Player of the Year.
He is Syracuse's top scorer (21.2) and rebounder (8.2) this season. Warrick is closing in on 2,000 career points (1,983) and 1,000 career rebounds (977). The only SU players to reach the two milestones were Derrick Coleman, Rony Seikaly, John Wallace and Jon Cincebox.
