
Orange Puts Six-Game Winning Streak On The Line Against Dartmouth

The 17th-ranked Orange hopes to keep its six-game winning streak alive when it plays undefeated seventh-ranked Dartmouth (9-0) on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Syracuse is now 8-2 overall, and 1-1 in the BIG EAST after defeating Loyola, 11-9, on Saturday.
Dartmouth enters Tuesday’s contest coming off a, 13-8, win against Cornell last Saturday. Last year, the Big Green defeating the Orange, 13-4, ending Syracuse’s six-game winning streak.
Orange 3-0 Against the Ivy’s This Season
Syracuse puts its perfect 3-0 Ivy League record on the line when its plays its fourth and final game against an Ivy League foe this season. It is the most games against any one conference besides the Big East (5) for the Orange this season. Overall, Syracuse has a 10-9 record against the Ivy League during the seven-plus seasons of the program. The Orange has already defeated Harvard, 10-4, Brown, 19-6, and Cornell, 9-8, this season. Dartmouth may be the most challenging Ivy League opponent the Orange face in 2005, as the Big Green is undefeated and ranked in the top-10.
Dartmouth is 4-0 against conference opponents this season, beating Yale, Columbia, Brown and Cornell.
