Track Heads to Nearby Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Syracuse track and field teams head west on the New York State Thruway to Rochester for the Raider Challenge at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday, April 16. Next weekend the Orange heads to New York City for the N.Y. Relays.
The Orange will make the 90-minute trek and prepare for upcoming meets in NYC and the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 28-30.
Last week, sophomore Sheron Mark posted a first and second-place finish in the high and long jumps, respectively. Freshmen hurdlers Marcus Vaughn and Ramon Sosa highlighted the men’s day. Vaughn tallied a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.64. Sosa finished fourth in the same race with a time of 14.80 seconds. Both freshmen qualified for the IC4A Championship.
