Four Orange Head to NCAA Track and Field Regional

NEW YORK CITY – Senior Valerij Petrulevich, sophomores Aulton Kohn and Sheron Mark and freshman Brittany Pryor have all qualified for the NCAA East Regional at Icahn Stadium in Manhattan on May 27-28.
Mark qualified for the long jump and triple jump. She won BIG EAST title with mark of 12.91 meters in the triple, which ranks 16th among women in the East.
Pryor achieved qualifying marks in the shot put and discus in her first collegiate season. She won the BIG EAST discus title with a mark of 50.42, which ranks eighth in the East. Pryor’s season-best 15.12 meters in the shot put ranks 11th in the East.
Petrulevich will compete in the 800-meter run, while Kohn’s time of 10.43 in the 100-meter dash at the BIG EAST Championship ranks 15th in the East region.
The 100- and 800-meter prelims are set for Friday with finals to follow on Saturday. The long jump trials and finals are set for Friday evening, while the discus, shot put and triple jump trials and finals will take place on Saturday. The top five finishers automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship which will be held at Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex in Sacramento, Calif.
