Men's Lacrosse Staff to Host Coaches Clinic on March 12

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse University men's lacrosse coaching staff will host a Boys Lacrosse Coaches Clinic on Sunday, March 12, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. All levels of lacrosse coaches are welcome.
Clinic entry fee is $45 if received before or on March 1, 2006. Thereafter, the fee will be $55. A registration form is included in the brochure attached to this story in PDF format. Please make checks payable to Syracuse University.
Registration will also be held Sunday, March 12, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Carrier Dome's Gate B. The group will move to the Orange Pack Room where SU head coach John Desko will host a "question and answer" session for approximately a half hour. At 10:05, SU assistant coach Kevin Donahue will present on "faceoffs". SU assistant coach Roy Simmons III will discuss "the fundamentals of defense and playing off the ball," while Le Moyne College head coach Dan Sheehan will talk about "the little things," from 11:15-11:45 a.m.
At 12:30 p.m., all coaches in attendance will be able to observe a two-hour Syracuse men's lacrosse practice.
This clinic is the first in a series of new initiatives being taken by the SU men's lacrosse staff to share ideas with other coaches and help enhance the learning experience, while providing opportunities for young players in the area.

July 8 - NEW: High School Clinic and All-Star Team Tournament (ages 15-18)
July 9 - NEW: High School Clinic and High School Tournament (ages 15-18)
October 1 - NEW: Clinic and Fall High School Tournament (ages 15-18)
